One dream. One season. A life-changing opportunity.
When Mohammed arrived in Seville from Canada during the 2025/2026 season, he had a clear ambition: to develop as a footballer and prove himself in Spanish football.
Just one season later, he achieved a remarkable milestone. After competing with UD Tomares in Spain’s División de Honor Juvenil, he earned the opportunity to join the club’s first team in Tercera RFEF, Spain’s national senior football structure.
His journey is an example of what can happen when talent meets discipline, determination and the right development environment.
And it shows how Spain Soccer Academy can contribute to a player’s progress by providing professional training, competitive experience and personalised guidance.

From Canada to the Spanish Football Environment
Moving to another country to pursue a football dream takes courage. For an international player, it means adapting to a new culture, a different style of football and a more demanding competitive environment.
Mohammed embraced that challenge.
From his first sessions at Spain Soccer Academy, his physical and technical qualities stood out. Recognising his potential, the academy’s coaching staff arranged an opportunity for him to trial with UD Tomares.
The club quickly recognised his ability and brought him into its División de Honor Juvenil team, one of Spain’s highest levels of youth football.
Mohammed was no longer simply dreaming of competing in Spanish football. He was doing it.
Throughout the season, he earned valuable playing time and scored against recognised professional club youth teams, including Real Betis, Sevilla FC and Málaga CF. He also contributed to UD Tomares achieving its objective of remaining in División de Honor Juvenil.
But his progress was about more than goals and performances. His discipline, respect, humility and team spirit helped him adapt and make the most of every opportunity.

The SSA Method: Train, Compete, Analyse and Improve
Talent can open doors. Consistent work helps players make the most of them.
One of the most important factors in Mohammed’s development was the combination of his club football experience and the additional training he received at Spain Soccer Academy.
His weekly routine brought together two complementary environments: professional training sessions with SSA in the mornings and team training with UD Tomares in the afternoons.
This allowed him to work on individual technical skills, physical preparation and tactical understanding while applying those lessons in a demanding team environment.
He also played more than 30 competitive matches with Spain Soccer Academy during the season, in addition to his matches with UD Tomares.
Every match provided another opportunity to make decisions under pressure, face different opponents and learn from real football situations.
Video analysis added another important dimension. By reviewing his performances with coaches, Mohammed could identify areas for improvement, understand positioning, recognise spaces and make better decisions on the pitch.
The process was continuous:
- Train to develop technical, tactical and physical abilities.
- Compete to apply those skills in real matches.
- Analyse performances and identify areas for improvement.
- Correct mistakes through focused work.
- Repeat the process with greater understanding and confidence.
This is the philosophy behind Spain Soccer Academy’s approach: helping players continue developing while gaining experience in Spanish football.
The Next Step: From Youth Football to Tercera RFEF
Mohammed’s performances did not go unnoticed.
After his season in División de Honor Juvenil, UD Tomares invited him to prepare with its first team, giving him the opportunity to face the demands of senior football.
The challenge was significant. Senior football requires players to adapt to stronger opponents, greater physical intensity, faster decisions and increased tactical responsibility.
Mohammed embraced the opportunity, and UD Tomares ultimately decided to sign him for its first team in Tercera RFEF.
In one season, he had progressed from arriving in Spain with an ambition to earning a place in senior Spanish football.
His achievement was not the result of a single training session or one decisive match. It reflected the combination of his own talent and commitment, the opportunities provided by UD Tomares, and the development work carried out throughout the season.
Every training session mattered. Every match brought a lesson. Every correction created another opportunity to improve.

More Than Football: Developing the Person Behind the Player
At Spain Soccer Academy, we believe that developing a footballer means more than improving performance on the pitch.
It means building discipline, resilience, responsibility, confidence and the willingness to learn.
Mohammed demonstrated these qualities throughout his journey. Leaving Canada, adapting to life in Seville and competing in a demanding football environment required commitment both on and off the pitch.
His story reflects an important principle: an academy can provide coaching, structure, competition and opportunities, but the player must bring the determination to make the most of them.
That partnership is where meaningful progress begins.

Your Football Journey Could Start in Spain
Mohammed’s story is a powerful example of the opportunities that can emerge when an international player combines ambition with hard work and a structured development programme.
At Spain Soccer Academy, in Seville, we work with international players aged 14–21, combining football training, competitive matches, personalised development and academic options within the Spanish football environment.
Every player’s journey is different. No academy can guarantee a professional contract or a specific sporting outcome. But the right environment can help players prepare for new challenges, discover their potential and take meaningful steps towards their goals.
